These terms govern use of the Hypothesists app for Shopify ("the app"). Installing the app means you agree to them.
The app provides store analytics (conversion rate, average order value, lifetime value, and related metrics), an experimentation engine, and storefront merchandising widgets, delivered through Shopify's extension surfaces.
Subscriptions are billed through the Shopify Billing API on your normal Shopify invoice: $199/month for The Instrument after a 14-day free trial, or $1,990/year. The Practice tier is governed by a separate written engagement; where it includes success fees, those bill as usage-based charges through Shopify against a capped amount you approve in advance. Canceling takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Uninstalling the app cancels the subscription.
You are responsible for the offers, prices, and claims your store presents, including those configured through the app's widgets and experiments, and for their compliance with the laws of the places you sell. The app gives you instruments; you remain the merchant of record.
Experimentation produces evidence, not guarantees. Outside of a separately executed Practice engagement with written benchmarks, no revenue outcome is promised, and verdicts reflect statistical inference on your store's actual traffic.
No attempt to extract other stores' data, probe the service's security, resell access, or use the app to present deceptive urgency or pricing to consumers. We build honest instruments and reserve the right to end service that is used dishonestly.
The app is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the three months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
You may uninstall at any time. We may suspend or terminate service for breach of these terms with notice. On termination, data deletion follows the privacy policy.
